Ministry of Agriculture and Food published, on its official website, for public discussion, a draft of the amendments to the Law on Assistance to Agricultural Producers (ZPZP). The changes in the law are related to the new rules for the implementation of the state aid scheme "Aid in the form of a reduction in the excise duty rate on diesel fuel, used in primary agricultural production'.
The proposal describes the mechanism for providing state aid in the form of a discount on the excise duty on gas oil used for mechanized activities in primary agricultural production. It is envisaged that the aid will be granted in the form of cash (refund of part of the value of the excise duty), and not as before – in the form of fuel vouchers. The process of applying for the aid is also simplified and the administrative burden and costs for the business are reduced. With the changes, it is envisaged that farmers will submit an application for application once and receive the aid at once. The obligation to keep a diary - the maximum amount of fuel - is no longer required, which will be subject to support will be determined based on a methodology with cost norms.
